Wooing Wu

An adaptation of the comic novel that takes place in the latter part of the 20th Century. It follows the unlikely romance between an American poet with a whiskey problem who has trouble concentrating while teaching his classes and a Chinese graduate student trying to assimilate into the American culture without losing her Chinese identity. Each has a group of friends that act as their support group with the expected miscommunications and misunderstandings experienced by all along the way.
